On Thursday 20 November, a gentle buzz filled the OBEO Nevers residence.
The occasion? The traditional celebration of Beaujolais Nouveau, the young wine that, on the third Thursday of every November, offers the first taste of the year’s harvest. Residents came together for a festive gathering of tasting, drinks and good company.

From 5.30 pm, the shared lounge came alive with laughter and conversation. Sharing was the theme of the evening, around a selection of fine charcuterie that delighted everyone’s taste buds. Ham, saucisson and cheeses made the perfect match for this young, fruity, easy-drinking wine, a symbol of celebration and renewal.
More than a simple tasting, the event was a genuine moment of conviviality and social connection. Gathered in a warm atmosphere, residents shared stories, memories tied to this tradition and thoughts on the coming winter. These simple, joyful moments are at the heart of residence life, nurturing friendship and creating shared memories.
“It is always a pleasure to get together and celebrate this little wine festival. It breaks up the routine, we chat, we laugh… it does you good!” said one of the guests, glass in hand.
Through initiatives like this one, the OBEO Nevers residence shows its commitment to creating a place to live where moments of sharing and simplicity mark the seasons and strengthen the sense of belonging to a community.
See you next year, for a new vintage and new reunions!
