At the OBEO Chambéry residence, the spirit of solidarity is no empty phrase. Once again this year, residents, staff and families came together around a shared project: supporting the Telethon with remarkable energy and generosity.

A collective momentum

As soon as the Telethon campaign was announced, a real momentum built up within the residence. The idea: to put on a series of activities and collections to contribute, in its own way, to the fight against rare genetic diseases. Coordinated by a motivated team, residents were quick to offer their talents and their time.

On the programme: creativity and sharing

For one whole day, the residence turned into a genuine workshop of solidarity:

  • Creative workshops: Christmas decorations and greetings cards were made and sold in aid of the association.

More than a fundraiser, a shared purpose

Beyond the money raised, this effort has an immeasurable value for those taking part. “It gives us a purpose, the feeling of being useful and of being part of something bigger,” says one resident. The residence staff also point to the pride and joy shared by everyone, strengthening bonds and the sense of belonging to a close-knit community.

A message of hope

The funds collected at the OBEO Chambéry residence will join the national total, helping to fund research and improve the daily lives of patients and their families. This local initiative is a reminder that every gesture counts, and that solidarity can be expressed anywhere, at any age and with whatever means are at hand.

Congratulations to the residents and to the entire OBEO Chambéry team for this fine lesson in humanity and commitment. Their efforts prove that, even on a small scale, we can all take part in great causes. A wonderful source of inspiration for everyone!
